ED rate (66.0%) is materially higher than RD (25.0%). If Morehouse is your top choice and you can commit financially, this is the highest-leverage round.
Morehouse prioritizes leadership potential, civic engagement, and a demonstrated commitment to uplifting Black male communities, not just raw test scores. Ideal applicants show sustained involvement in community organizations, student government, debate, church or mentorship programs, and articulate how they have led or served underrepresented groups; academic rigor matters, but the school is somewhat more forgiving of lower standardized scores if leadership and mission alignment are strong. They value intellectual curiosity in humanities, social sciences, and business, and give weight to essays, recommendations, and activities that connect the student to Morehouse's legacy of public service and Black male excellence.
Use the supplemental space to tie your personal mission to Morehouse-specific offerings: reference faculty, the Martin Luther King Jr. legacy, the Morehouse Men of Excellence programs, the Business Administration or Political Science curricula, and on-campus leadership opportunities like the Student Government Association or community outreach centers. Show concrete plans for contributing to campus leadership and Black civic life, give one brief example of past impact, and explain how specific Morehouse traditions, centers, or courses will help you scale that impact.
