Compared with peer LACs they are somewhat stricter on quantitative readiness for engineering and business-track students but looser about ultra-eclectic extracurricular lists if academic focus and real-world experience are clear.
Use the "why Bucknell" space to cite specific programs that match your plan, such as the Integrated Engineering curriculum, the Freeman College of Management course offerings or the Bucknell Career Development Center’s recruiting ties to NYC finance, plus named faculty, labs, or student-run investment/robotics teams you would join. Show concrete fit by describing a project or class you want to pursue on campus, and if you are applying ED or for engineering/management, explicitly mention how Bucknell’s small-class, alumni-network recruiting environment advances your postgrad goals.
